NSFT nurse celebrates 40 years of service

Chris Strivens receiving his long service certificate from NSFT Director of Nursing Dawn Collins

Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust’s Resuscitation Lead, Chris Strivens, is celebrating 40 years of service to nursing.

Chris began his nurse training at the Broadland School of Nursing at Hellesdon Hospital in February 1986.  After completing his training, Chris worked on the acute wards at Hellesdon Hospital. Since then he has worked with community drugs teams and became a matron for Forensic Services at Northside House whilst continuing to support the transition of Norfolk Recovery Partnership to Change Grow Live in 2018.

Chris has worked as the Trust’s Resuscitation Lead since January 2021.

NSFT’s Director of Nursing, Dawn Collins, presented Chris with his long service certificate this week and said: “Chris is a pleasure to work with and has been a dedicated, hard-working and conscientious nursing colleague providing a lifelong service to caring for some of our most vulnerable service users.”
