The Mount

The Mount is a practical, skills-based area which provides a range of opportunities to service users. 

The Mount's facilities give service users the opportunity for horticultural, woodwork, and metalwork experiences, upcycling donated projects and materials into artwork through basic engineering. 

The gardens in the area include an aviary and pond, bringing a peaceful rest area to service users and staff at Northside House.

The Mount are happy to receive suitable items to upcycle. These include: 

• Hard woods in either log form, planks or off-cuts (depending on size)
• Solid steel lengths/section with limited rust(flat/round bar, box) 
• Plants/shrubs (depending on the species)
• Woodchip/bark chippings
• Shingle/ornamental decorate stone
• Solid tables/units/book shelves etc (dependent on size)
• Garden furniture (hard wood or steel/cast iron)
