As Bonfire Night approaches, Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Trust (NSFT) are encouraging people to think about how fireworks may affect those living with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

The Better Sleep Programme was named winner of the Innovative Mental Health Intervention category at the 2026 Mental Health Awards, recognising its groundbreaking approach to improving access to evidence-based sleep support and the significant impact achieved through partnership working across Norfolk and Waveney.

Service users and carers are playing a growing role in shaping mental health services across Norfolk and Suffolk, with their contribution to improvements highlighted at Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust's Annual General Meeting (AGM).

I want to start my blog as always with our monthly TALK Awards for colleagues. We love to publicly congratulating our colleagues as we welcome our TALK awards winners and runners up to our Board meetings. Huge congratulations to our winner for July, Kirk Wilson, our Trust Family Liaison Officer, and to our July runner up, Trudi McManus, Senior Team Administrator in City Anchorage team based at the Julian hospital. Well done to both of you and thank you for all you do for the people we serve.
