I write my blog after every Trust Board meeting in public, so I'll be sharing six blogs in 2026. This means you can hear direct from me about what we talk about at our Board meetings. As a reminder, the Board leads the Trust, monitoring performance to deliver high-quality, safe care, and careful management of risks. It's at the Board that we rightly deliver our accountability to the public we serve.

Plans to develop a new playpark at Hellesdon Hospital's Kingfisher Mother and Baby Unit have moved forward thanks to £30,000 of funding from Norfolk County Council.  

Following a delegated cabinet decision, Norfolk County Council has agreed to use £30,000 of the Government's Best Start in Life Family Hub's funding for the new sensory playpark, which will help mothers, their babies and families, spend time together whilst promoting recovery and improving attachment.

New mums struggling with their mental health are receiving hope and support via a nationwide letter-writing, peer-support initiative at The Kingfisher Mother and Baby Unit (MBU) at Hellesdon Hospital.

NSFT will welcome six new Governors to support the organisation's ongoing improvement work across its services.
