Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT) has been awarded £452,000 from the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) to develop new specialist research facilities.

Two NSFT staff members had the privilege of attending the Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday 6 May 2026.

Mental Health and Learning Disability nurses will be at the forefront of how NHS care across Norfolk, Suffolk and the wider UK will be shaped and influenced.

More than 350 nursing staff from all fields of nursing across Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT) heard about the Trust’s new nursing strategic plan, how this fits in with the national picture, and how they will be central to embedding it, at the Trust’s Nursing Conference.

NSFT is marking International Nurses Day with a special film celebrating its mental health and learning disability nurses, student nurses and care support workers.

A campaign supporting mental health has blossomed into its second year.

Last spring, Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust’s (NSFT) Recovery College encouraged people to grow sunflowers to raise awareness of the support and education sessions it offers, whilst making a pledge to improve their wellbeing and mental health.

Now, and to mark the start of Mental Health Awareness Month, people are being challenged to get on their gardening gloves again and grow some sunflowers.
