Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT) has an exciting opportunity for eight people with an interest in mental health to join the Council of Governors.
Jean Clark, Trust Secretary, said: “Our Governors play a vital role at NSFT by representing the views of local people, hosting important public engagement events and holding the Non-Executive Directors to account for the performance of the Board.
“Elected Governors come from a variety of backgrounds and share an interest in mental wellbeing and a desire to help the Trust to develop and thrive for the benefit of the people who use our services.
“We would encourage anyone who thinks they have the time, skills and commitment to carry out this important role to come along to one of our information sessions and find out more.”
The Council of Governors is made up of the Trust Chair, 23 elected Governors across its six constituencies, with Governors holding a three-year tenure, and six appointed Governors.
The seats open for election this time around are: one Public Governor in Norfolk, three Public Governors in Suffolk, one Service User Governor in Norfolk, two Service User Governors in Suffolk, and one Carer Governor in Suffolk.
Nominations open on 20 September and close on 18 October. The election will run from 8 November to 2 December 2021.
