Continuing the transformation of local mental health services

Organisations and providers interested in the delivery and transformation of mental health and emotional wellbeing support in east and west Suffolk, are invited to attend a market engagement event on September 24th.
The event will enable those interested to work with the current Mental Health Alliance to understand what has happened so far and discuss the way forward in order to best deliver the aims of the ten-year East and West Suffolk Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing Strategy (2019-2029).
The strategy has been developed by NHS Ipswich and East Suffolk and NHS West Suffolk clinical commissioning groups, Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust and Suffolk County Council, working with the wider community.
The intention is to build a better understanding of how providers could contribute to mental health and emotional wellbeing services in the four categories of Children, Young People & Families, Community Mental Health, Mental Health Crisis and Learning Disabilities and Autism.
Richard Watson, the CCGs’ deputy chief executive, said: “The strategy is already delivering meaningful improvements to people’s wellbeing, so it’s important we continue to keep it current and work on its ongoing development to ensure people’s needs are met and services remain effective.
“This event gives us the chance to meet with providers and organisations, so they can outline what they do and how they could contribute to our vision for the improvement of mental health and emotional wellbeing services.”
