People in Norfolk and Waveney experiencing a mental health crisis can now benefit from a dedicated mental health response car.

The car is a joint project from the area’s mental health service provider, Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust (NSFT), Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, and the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST), using funding from Norfolk and Waveney Clinical Commissioning Group

Norfolk and Suffolk’s mental health trust is officially 'Veteran Aware' for its work with past and present members of the Armed Forces.

The accreditation, which was awarded on Armistice Day from the Veterans Covenant Healthcare Alliance (VC HA), acknowledges NSFT’s commitment to improving care for veterans, reservists, members of the Armed Forces and their families.

The Horizon School Dragonfly and NSFT People Participation Team for Specialist Services based at The Dragonfly Unit in Lowestoft were very excited to welcome Charlie Mackesy, local illustrator, and author of 'The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse' on Sunday 14 November.  

An art initiative involving patients from Northside House opens to the public on Tuesday 16 November and runs to Saturday 15 January 2022. The venue hosting this amazing project is East Gallery, Cavendish House, St Andrews Street, Norwich, NR2 4AE

People in Norfolk and Waveney can now get quicker help for common mental health issues such as depression and anxiety thanks to a new programme which is fast tracking GP referrals to the NHS Wellbeing Service.
