What this service offers

The Adult Learning Disability Community Service in Waveney offers both clinic based and community-based interventions. 

People who use this service will be living with one or more of the following: 

  • Learning disabilities

  • Mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, or psychosis

  • Epilepsy. 

Our team also offers specialist support for physical health issues. 

The Adult Learning Disability Community Service in Waveney offers an assessment within 28 days of receiving a referral depending on urgency. ​ 

Care and treatment is then provided in the community or at our Airey Close clinic in Oulton.

Access this service

To access the Adult Learning Disability Community Service in Waveney a referral must be made by a GP or other health or social care professional. 

People who are referred to this service must have a learning disability and associated mental health, physical health and, or behavioural needs. 

Visiting and onsite facilities

Free parking is available at our Airey Close outpatient clinic along with wheelchair access and toilet facilities for those with disabilities. 

Tea, coffee and water is also available upon request. 

How this service support carers including friends and family

Our Adult Learning Disability Community Service in Waveney offers carers support as part of a complete care plan. Our team can refer or signpost carers to other services, for example social services for carer assessment and mental health wellbeing services. ​​ 

Urgent help
