Public Governor - Rob Summers

Close face image of Rob Summers in a grey shirtI have been a member of the Trust for at least 15 years and have lived in West Suffolk near to the Norfolk border for over 50 years. I believe that I can represent the members, the public, and front-line staff and carers in a positive way.

I was adopted as a baby and affected by my parents getting divorced a few years later. I now care for a close family member who has advanced Alzheimer's. Most of my working life I have worked in logistics on all levels finishing off as a senior external verifier for the SQA. I have worked with young people as a youth leader, Scout leader and houseparent. I have also worked alongside people with PTSD. I have a close family member who is a front-line practitioner within the Trust.

I have sat on various committees and steering groups and have approved national centres and training courses on behalf of government departments. Now elected, I will commit myself to promoting a safer environment for users and staff of the Trust.
