Overview
The aim of the study is to assess the number of patients experiencing psychosis that may also have anti neuronal membrane antibodies which might cause their illness.
About the study
The aim is to assess the number of patients experiencing psychosis that may also have anti-neuronal membrane antibodies which might cause their illness. The study includes one visit with a doctor or researcher. The visit will include consent and collection of a blood sample along with a short questionnaire.
Who can take part?
Participants with a diagnosis of Psychotic Illness or current psychosis symptoms. Recruitment is within NSFT only
What does this study involve?
- A one-off visit with the research team
- Questionnaires regarding demographic information, previous history of psychotic illness and length of current episode of psychosis symptoms.
- Blood sample
Participants are reimbursed for their time and participation via £10 shopping voucher.
How can I take part?
Individuals who are currently under the care of inpatient or community mental health services can be referred to the study by their clinical team.
