How to Support Your Nutrition During Pregnancy

This workshop is designed to provide up to date advice and guidance for parents-to-be to support you during your pregnancy. Nutrition plays a crucial role in supporting wellbeing during pregnancy.

This provides parents-to-be with a great opportunity - to maximise both their own wellbeing and baby's wellbeing. Eating a balanced and nutritious diet is important for a healthy pregnancy and can also help to prevent complications. It fuels this amazing process that your body is doing. This workshop for parents-to-be will provide key messages on nutrition in pregnancy and will create a platform for parents-to-be to share their thoughts, worries and ideas with others.

We recognise that there can be unhelpful messages which create and perpetuate feelings of guilt in pregnant and new parents, and this is not the aim of this workshop. We also recognise that guidance given to pregnant and new parents is everchanging and this can feel confusing and overwhelming. This workshop will provide up to date advice and guidance in a way which acknowledges the challenges around nutrition you may or may not be experiencing. This is about giving information and choices to empower parents-to-be to make decisions about nutrition for both them and their unborn children.

How to Manage Stress During Pregnancy

Whether you are a first-time parent or you have had several pregnancies, navigating pregnancy can be a stressful experience. This workshop will provide you with the key information about stress during pregnancy so that you can make informed decisions about your own stress management to support you and your baby. Often, we have little or no control over certain stressors in our environment and we know that these stressors can increase during pregnancy. This workshop isn't about avoiding stress altogether but is about giving you permission to prioritise stress reduction during this pregnancy and see this as important as the other things you are prioritising, such as your nutrition, to make a difference for both you and your unborn baby. We hope you find it useful in exploring new ways to manage stress and have a shared experience with other parents-to-be.
