Consent
Consent is when someone is asked if they agree to something, such as agreeing to participate in an assessment.
ADYSS only works with young people who consent to having an assessment. If a young person is unable to consider whether they consent, then we think about this very carefully on an individual basis. We would never try to force a young person to see us.
You can find out more information about consenting to having an assessment on the NHS website.
