Michelle Hagon-Powley, Research Nurse

I work within the Adult Delivery team, I have previously worked on a range of studies including Radar, NCMH, Molgen, GLAD, DPIM, Aspect and TRAAC.

I enjoy research as we are forever learning and research is a different way of helping others, potentially on a larger scale.

 After twenty years of working as a mental health nurse in the clinical world, I decided that I wanted a change and enquired about the Research Department.  Following this I felt that working within this area, was a different way of helping others and  would be a fantastic opportunity to develop my role and contribute to research.

 Not only does it provide hope that there are other interventions potentially available, research also contributes to prevention, treatment and supporting the financial strains on healthcare .
