Bianca Nixon
Physical Health Assistant
Practitioner

Bianca joined the physical health nurses working across the Central Acute Cluster in 2020. She worked tirelessly during the first lockdown as a member of staff tasked with setting up an acute cluster COVID-19 ward.

She was also involved with all the extra COVID-19 swabbing and blood tests, all while supporting the wards’ needs as normal.

Since Bianca joined the team she has been studying for her assistant practitioner qualification, successfully juggling work, study and family commitments. She has also been involved in the team rolling out ECG (electrocardiogram) and phlebotomy training to both ward staff and our students.

Bianca is well respected across all the Central Acute Cluster wards and has a great rapport with both staff and service users. She is supportive of the ward staff and delivers staff training in physical health, completes audits and offers solutions to physical health queries.
