Lauren Wright, clinical studies officer

Lauren Wright I work across all pathways from youth to older adults. One example of the research I am involved in is DECRYPT, which is exploring specialised treatment for children who have suffered multiple traumas. I also support Brains for Dementia Research (BDR). This project has recruited older adults who have agreed to donate their brain when they die. I follow these people up every year and take an account of their health and ask them some memory questions.

What I love about my job is meeting lots of different people and the fact that no day is the same. I think the benefits of taking part in research is access to new therapies or treatments that may not be offered in the NHS currently.

Outside work I like to walk my dogs and I have also recently taught myself cross-stitch.
