Leah Spry
Clinical Nurse Lead
CFYP Norfolk and Waveney

Leah has demonstrated a drive and passion for her work throughout her time with the service. She is a passionate advocate for service users and is driven to improve their care, experience and choice.

She has been working on a Quality Improvement project setting up ‘Evolve’; a service with three beds used for the EI (Early Intervention) Team as an alternative to admission to hospital.

This complex project has involved delivering 24/7 day care, EI staff providing nursing care, and intensive social support that continues for three months following discharge. Her drive to improve the care for patients has been admirable and, as a result, was essential in getting funding for the project.

The feedback from service users and carers of people who have stayed at Evolve has been overwhelmingly positive. The recovery journeys of those who have been in Evolve has been incredible, with the service reducing inpatient usage across the whole of Norfolk.
