Charlotte Wheeler, Research Assistant Psychologist
I am part of the research development team, currently helping to set up 2 studies: MINDS and DiSCOVERY. MINDS is a study looking at discharge planning from adult inpatient services, whilst DiSCOVERY is investigating the use of Recovery Colleges as post-diagnostic support for people with dementia. My role involves working with both teams to prepare study materials, as well as helping to write applications for ethical approval.
Getting to work with such a broad range of people with a variety of skills and expertise is brilliant, and I feel very privileged to be able to watch and learn from such talented individuals and teams. Knowing that the research that I am involved with has the potential to impact people in mental health settings feels really worthwhile and something I am proud to be a part of.
