I work in the development team for Child, Family and Young People Services, I'm involved in the development of research ideas and projects that aim to improve interventions and outcomes for individuals living with mental health difficulties. I was involved with the BEST study and am currently working on developing a study for WWCSC (What Works with Children in Social Care).
I love the chance to have a positive influence on issues that impact young people. I see research as a puzzle and enjoy finding and putting the pieces together to make sense of the bigger picture.
The more people that take part in mental health studies, the more applicable our findings will be to the wider population. Also, if more people come forward about mental health issues, there will be less stigma attached to them.
