Roger Mason – Public Governor, Norfolk

Roger Mason Term of office started 1 February 2023

I am a semi-retired architect. So, I often deal with authoritative bodies. I was one of the trustees who rescued the Wensum Sports Centre in King Street, Norwich from closure. We set up a charity to run it.

I have experience of supporting someone with schizophrenia over many years. This led me to believe the Trust must improve the way it deals with service users, carers and the public.

My goal is to make the Trust more transparent to service users, carers and the public. Making information and access to services easier to get. Allowing feedback to reach the relevant members of staff. Clear communication should be the foundation of mental health care.
