Jude Applin, Senior Nurse Eating Disorders, Community, Central Norfolk

Jude has worked for the Trust since 2014 where she joined as a Staff Nurse. Before joining NSFT, Jude worked as a School Nurse for Norfolk Community Health & Care.

"I decided to join the Trust as I had a passion for working with young people and had a very positive experience working in the eating disorders team as a student nurse. Since qualifying I had always wanted to work with young people but I had to take a slightly different path to get into the specialism of eating disorders.

"It is a real privilege to be part of the recovery process and see young people make change and develop their identities. Young people are so amazingly capable of making change and they never fail to impress me with their determination and tenacity.

"I think it's important to celebrate the role of a nurse as it's such a varied and unique job. As nurses we use a wide skill set to provide all aspects of care and can really work alongside our patients to help them achieve better health."
