This five-week course helps students explore ways that people who have autism can live well and have a meaningful and purposeful life. Like all our courses at the Recovery College, this course has been co-produced by people with lived experience of autism and people with learned experience of autism.

  • The course acknowledges that there are challenges that go alongside a diagnosis of autism, but the course will also explore positive ways to enable people to live well with autism.
  • This course is suitable for people who have a diagnosis of autism, people who suspect they may have autism, supporters and professionals looking to enhance their knowledge further around autism.
  • The course aims to help students gain an understanding into some of the features of autism and how it affects individuals. Students will be given an opportunity to develop if they wish, their own personalised coping strategy toolkit.

Course duration: Five sessions of 2 hours and 30 minutes
