Following a re-commissioning exercise by Public Health Suffolk the Suffolk Alcohol Treatment Service is now closed.
From 1 April 2015, Drug and Alcohol Services in Suffolk are provided by a new provider called "Turning Point".
Turning Point provide an integrated Drug and Alcohol Service for Suffolk residents with hubs in Ipswich, Bury and Lowestoft. They provide a menu of psychosocial and pharmacological interventions for Drug and Alcohol Service Users as part of their 'Recovery Academy'.
They partner with Suffolk Family Carers, Iceni and Air Sports an organisations who engage service users through sport and encourage service users to engage in sport as part of their recovery.
