Blakeney Ward is a 16-bedded ward for offending males or males at risk of offending, over the age of 18, who have a mental illness and who require a low secure setting. Blakeney Ward is housed in Northside House.
We aim to deliver a comprehensive service provision at a low secure level, as a joint working initiative in conjunction with other agencies and service providers.
We provide effective, evidenced-based care to the service population. The emphasis is needs-led and collaborative, and ensures that supportive services are always maintained for our service users, carers, relatives and statutory and voluntary agencies.
Our multi-disciplinary team includes a range of qualified staff from doctors and nurses, social workers and occupational therapists to assistant practitioners and gym instructors. The team provide specialist mental health assessment and formulation, treatment interventions, rehabilitation and recovery and risk assessment and management.
The support offered will be collaboratively created on an individual basis taking into consideration the risks associated with the offending behaviors and the person’s mental health state, along with any Home Office restrictions.
