East Suffolk Home Treatment Team (HTTe)

 What help do you offer?

The team offers short-term, intensive support, as an alternative to hospital admission, to service users experiencing a mental health crisis. The nature of this support will be discussed with you and the people who support you.

The team is made up of doctors, psychiatrists, registered mental health nurses, social workers, support workers, CBT therapist, pharmacists and administration staff.

What you can expect from HTTe

  • We offer home visits tailored to yours needs. The frequency of these visits will be discussed with you by the team.

  • We will continuously assess your mental health needs and work together with you to identify the issues affecting you, offer support and a treatment plan.

  • We have access to admission to a psychiatric ward where risk and presentation indicate home treatment is not appropriate, and support upon discharge if needed.

  • We will encourage you to continue to take part in your usual routine and activities particularly if these benefit you in terms of your mental health and wellbeing.

  • We will work with you on a short-term basis and aim to support you through your crisis. We will refer you to the most appropriate area of follow up for your ongoing care needs, as agreed with you.

  • A review by a doctor when necessary.

  • A psychological formulation when necessary.

The same member of staff may not attend every visit. However, we reassure you that all staff will be familiar with your situation. We are non-judgemental and inclusive.
