We provide prompt and effective home treatment, including medication, and brief psychological inteventions in order to prevent hospital admissions and give support to your carers. We also act as a gatekeeper to other mental health services such as acute inpatient care, referring you to other services if longer term follow up is indicated.

What can I expect from you?

Although you are unlikely to see the same person on every visit, each member of the team will be familiar with your situation and work with you towards your recovery. We have a Nurse Consultant who is able to review any medication needs you may have.

Our remit is to avoid hospital admission and offer an alternative home based treatment package. We do not expect to resolve your difficulties entirely, but to refer you on to another team or service appropriate to your needs if required. We are used to managing situations that feel risky and encourage a collaborative, honest relationship in order for you to experience the positive benefits of sharing difficult thoughts or feelings.
