Children Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) East and West Suffolk

 What help do you offer?

​The County wide ADHD service offers specialist assessment and, if appropriate diagnosis and treatment for symptoms of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder for children and young people.

Children and their families and carers are at the heart of what we do. Our aim is to get to the root of the young person’s difficulties so we can help resolve them with appropriate evidence based ethical treatment and intervention.

 How do I get help from your service?

We offer assessment for Children and Young People from the age of 6 to 18 (19 if still in full time education).

We accept referrals via the Wellbeing Hub from:

  • General Practitioners ,
  • Consultant Paediatricians from community or in-patient services,
  • School nursing,
  • Clinical/Educational Psychologists,
  • Primary Mental Health Link Workers,
  • Transfer from other Child and mental health services,
  • Interagency referrals

We also welcome supporting evidence from SENCOs, Social workers and other statutory services.

 What hours is your service available?

​9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays.

 What can I expect from you?

​We have a highly experienced and committed team of nurses and doctors who use their skills and knowledge to help understand the nature of the young persons difficulties.

We offer assessment and for some people diagnosis if ADHD. If we do not think that the young person has ADHD we ensure that we help and assist the young person to access the right service/support to help resolve their difficulties.

We operate from two addresses.​ADHD, Walker Close, Ipswich Suffolk, IP3 8LY in the East of Suffolk and G Block, Hospital Road, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, IP33 3NR in the West of Suffolk.
