Equality monitoring

Equality monitoring includes collecting information about the staff who work for us, as well as carers, members of the Trust and service users that come into contact with our services.

As part of the Public Sector Equality Duty (PSED), the Trust is legally required to gather and publish data about people who use its services and staff working in the Trust to provide the services.

This is more than just data gathering as this can help us to:

  • Identify your needs and look at whether the services we provide are right for you
  • Be better positioned to know whether we are providing fair and equal access to all groups of people who need our services
  • Identify how we can improve services to make them more accessible and inclusive
  • Identify how well our staff and service users reflect the diversity of the local community.
