At NSFT, we offer high quality forensic secure services for people who have come into contact with the criminal justice system and may be experiencing mental health problems.

Things are changing in our service, we’ve had £4 million investment in our buildings, so we’ve been developing our inpatient services. The Norvic Clinic will be transformed from a four ward Medium Secure Unit to a three ward Low and Medium Secure Hospital. May 2017 also sees the launch of our new, and first of its kind, Blended Security Female Forsensic Ward based at Hellesdon Hospital, Norwich.

It’s a really exciting time to join our services and we’d love you to be part of it.
As part of our Secure Services team, you'll be part of a comprehensive care pathway providing assessment, treatment and recovery based rehabilitation for people who need low to medium security during their treatment in Norfolk and Suffolk.

We offer opportunities across our service in a range of posts, on either a full or part-time basis - including registered mental health, learning disability and general practice nurses, assistant psychologists, psychologists, occupational therapists and community and criminal justice nursing roles.

It's essential that you're interested in working closely with partner agencies, and are really motivated to be part of a team focused on promoting recovery and reducing re-offending.

If you wish to apply these are the job reference numbers:

Assistant Practitioner: 246-SEC683889
Mental Health Nurse:  246-SEC683927

You will also benefit from:

  2. A welcome bonus for band 5 positions.  A recruitment premium applies to these Band 5 Nursing posts. This comprises a £1,000 premium for external recruits and pro-rata for part-time staff. You receive half the payment when you start working for us and the other half after you complete your satisfactory six month probation period
  3. Flexible working patterns
  4. Significant investment in the development of our inpatient services
  5. Teaching opportunities at post graduate and undergraduate level at the university of east Anglia
