Daniel Taylor - Public Governor, Norfolk
Term of office started 1 February 2021
I have known many friends and family members who have suffered with mental ill-health. I have seen the devastating impact it can have on them and the wider repercussions for their family and friends.
I have always had an interest in mental health. This includes shadowing of psychiatrists across the Trust in various hospitals for a month. I would have pursued it as a career if I had not pursued law. I have a scientific background up to PhD and will use my skills to help the Trust in its wider ambitions.
I recently studied for the Bar. My areas of interest include Court of Protection, Lasting Power of Attorney, and those prosecuted under the Mental Health Act 1983.
