Trust product wins national innovation award

A pioneering initiative by Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust last night (10 October) won an award for innovation at the EHealth Insider (EHI) Awards 2013.

The Trust landed the Innovation in Healthcare Integration and Interoperability Award for SystemTDM® – a recall and reminder platform for patients taking medication that requires regular monitoring for health reasons.

Tim Anderson, Lead Clinical Pharmacist and SystemTDM® Development Lead, represented the Trust and was accompanied by Caroline Perrement of Proteo ltd., for SystemTDM® at the awards ceremony at the Roundhouse, Camden Town, in London.

Leigh Fleming, Commercial Director, said: “The Trust is absolutely delighted that SystemTDM® has won this award as it highlights how we are constantly developing technology to improve the care of our service users.”

EHI director Linda Davidson added: “Improving the working lives of their clinical colleagues and helping them to improve the care they deliver to patients is what motivates the healthcare IT teams and the suppliers who enter EHI Awards each year.”

Notes to editors:

SystemTDM® was selected from 276 national nominations, following a judging day on 17 July. EHealth Insider runs an industry-leading portal, publishes newsletters and special reports, and celebrates its successes at the annual EHI Awards in association with BT.
