Trust initiative chosen as a finalist in HSJ Patient Safety and Care Awards

A pioneering medication monitoring initiative by Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust has been shortlisted for a prestigious national award for Improving Safety in Medicines Management.

The Trust’s SystemTDM® was chosen from hundreds of entries to be named a finalist in the Health Service Journal (HSJ) 2014 Patient Safety and Care Awards.

On 12 June, Lead Clinical Pharmacist and SystemTDM® Development Lead Tim Anderson will take part in the next stage, at which he will give a presentation to the judging panel.

The winners will be announced on 15 July at the HSJ Patient Safety and Care Awards to be held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, in London.

Commercial Director at the Trust, Leigh Howlett, said: “We are delighted that SystemTDM® has been named as a finalist in the HSJ Patient Safety and Care Awards, as it highlights how we are constantly developing technology to improve the care of our service users.”
