Trust hosts open day in Norfolk to increase dementia awareness
To mark the start of Dementia Awareness week, Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust will be hosting an Open day at Hammerton Court, Julian Hospital in Norwich.
On Monday 19 May 10am–2pm, this free event will feature taster sessions about meaningful therapies as and creative approaches that can be offered to people with dementia.
Representatives from NHS Dementia Research, Age UK, Home Instead, Norfolk Libraries, Norfolk Carers Support and many more will be on hand to offer information of their services. We hope the day will provide people with dementia, family carers, friends, care workers and the general public with an opportunity to talk.
Lisa Breame, Dementia Trainer said “One of the aims of the day is to celebrate some of the great opportunities for people with dementia and their loved ones within Norfolk and Suffolk”
