It's that time of year again when the clean-shaven men among us take the opportunity to grow a moustache while raising awareness of men's health issues.
And the worldwide Movember campaign has resonated even more with staff at Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust because of the focus placed this year on improving mental health and reducing suicide among men.
The annual fundraiser encourages teams to ask for sponsorship in return for their hair-raising efforts and all money raised goes towards initiatives to protect men's health with the foundation setting itself the target of reducing the number of men prematurely by 25% by 2030.
So the Trust is determined to grow the extra mile this year and lead the way in supporting the message under the team name of One Trust Grew a Mo.
The Trust is now encouraging men throughout Norfolk and Suffolk to join our team, and team captain Chief Executive Michael Scott said: "We hope this fantastic campaign will inspire people to join us in raising awareness of men's mental health issues.
"This year is more important than ever for the Trust because of the focus on men's mental health.
"We hope you will join the team and support us throughout the month."
It couldn't be simpler to take part in Movember
- To join our team, go to http://mobro.co/onetrustgrewamo then go to Team and click on One Trust Grew a Mo, then click on Join This Team
- Upload your own pictures from before, during and at the end of November, and share them on Twitter using #NSFTash
- Participants should begin on 1 November with a clean shave and you must grow your moustache throughout the month.
For mo-sisters and other non-growers, you can also support the movement for men's mental health by donating to our team at mobro.co/onetrustgrewamo
You will be able to see team members' progress as they grow throughout the month on our team gallery and offer mo-tivation along the way.
During the month, look out for stories from men in Norfolk and Suffolk who are backing the campaign, and are taking the opportunity to speak out about their own mental health in the hope of raising awareness and reducing the stigma often associated with mental health.
