Special event to signpost wellbeing
09/11/2018

People living in the Gorleston area are being given the chance to find out more about the resources available locally to help them look after their mind and body at a special wellbeing event.

Norfolk County Council’s Library and Information Service has joined forces with Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT) to arrange the Signposts to Wellbeing day at Gorleston Library, Lowestoft Road, on Saturday 17 November.

Running between 10am and 3pm, it will give people the chance to test their pedal power on a smoothie bike and watch a demonstration of seated yoga, while library staff will be able to give advice about books which promote a healthy mind.

Wellbeing Norfolk & Waveney will be on hand to provide information about the support it provides for common mental health issues such as anxiety, stress and low mood. In addition, a range of other organisations, including Great Yarmouth & Waveney Mind, will showcase their services, while the Friends of Gorleston Library will provide refreshments.

For more information, please contact the library on 01493 662156 or by emailing gorleston.lib@norfolk.gov.uk
