Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT) is encouraging people with an interest in mental health to consider applying for the position of non-executive director.
The Trust is seeking a person who understands the challenges ahead, but who also recognises that it will be a rewarding and worthwhile journey, working as part of an ambitious Board team to create a successful, high performing and sustainable future for the Trust.
The successful candidate will need to build upon the changes NSFT has already made, be able to probe and challenge others constructively and bring the benefit of their experience to make an effective contribution to the complex and changing environment in which the Trust works.

Essential expertise for a non-executive director includes: • Strategic leadership• Commercial acumen • Ability to command the confidence of stakeholders at all levels• Ability to probe and challenge constructively • Understanding of governance and performance management at a senior level.• A clear understanding of operating in a changing and complex environment• Experience of improving quality of services Non-executive directors earn £13,000 p.a. for a minimum of four days a month.
