Michael Scott visits Hellesdon Peddars Centre

Chief Executive Michael Scott visited the Peddars Centre at Hellesdon Hospital earlier this month to discuss frontline service performance, Section 75, and staff hopes for the future.

Michael visited the Centre, from where our Community Mental Health Team for North Central Norfolk is managed, and was given a tour by Clinical Team Leaders, Heidi McKay and Dan Shimmin.

Dr Ashish Pandey, Consultant Psychiatrist, who also joined the discussions, said: "We had a very realistic discussion of hard and true facts about our service performance. As a medical leader, I was pleased that he was able to understand the challenges faced by our community mental health team.

"We discussed issues around safe and effective delivery of patient and carer-focused care, staff wellbeing and our vision of becoming an excellent service provider. I am very optimistic that with right attitude from everyone across the Trust, together we can deliver the right care to our clients."

Michael also met Nicki Raynes and Hannah Bailey, mental health nurses, Liz Summers and Kathryn Flemming of the admin support team, and social services team members Corrine Avery, Practice Consultant, and James Boutle, Social worker.
