Great Yarmouth and Waveney Consultation results to be discussed

An independent report examining the results of an extensive public consultation into proposals to improve adult mental health and dementia services will be discussed at a public meeting next week.

HealthEast’s governing body will be presented with a report analysing the feedback received in response to proposals developed by Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT) at its meeting on Thursday (5 June). The evaluation has been put together by an independent expert and draws on more than 1,000 responses received during the 12-week consultation, which was held earlier this year.

The consultation asked for views on three proposals which NSFT has developed to improve adult mental health services for people in Great Yarmouth and Waveney. Their aim is to provide the most appropriate services to meet each patient’s needs, delivered – wherever possible – in people’s own homes by a team of health and social care professionals working closely together.

The CCG will receive the report on Thursday, and discuss its response at its following meeting on 24 July. A final decision is expected on the proposals at the end of September.

Patients, carers and the public are welcome to attend the meeting, which takes place at HealthEast’s headquarters at Beccles House, Common Lane North, Beccles, starting at 1.30pm.

Agenda papers will be available from Tuesday 3 June at
