At the Tier 4 Adolescent Inpatient Unit we offer a service for young people from 12 to 18 if you are deemed to be at greatest risk because of rapidly declining mental health or serious harm to yourself, or if you require a period of intensive input for the purposes of assessment and treatment.
Our consultants and clinical team leader assess your situation following a telephone call and referral from your community team.
You can call us 24 hours a day on 01502 527400.
You may have a four to six week therapeutic assessment for mental health conditions including eating disorders. The aim of this is to develop a comprehensive understanding or formulation of you and your difficulties in order to decide on your treatment. As part of this phase we also meet with your family or carers.
