We provide assessment and treatment if you are a male or female patient detained under the Mental Health Act who requires an area of medium security. Frequently you have a forensic history and require treatment over a prolonged period of time.
You can be referred to us from a variety of sources including high secure hospitals, low secure units, other medium secure units, prison settings, courts and the community.
We are a 24 hours a day, seven days a week service.
When referred to us, we assess you for admission suitability. If you meet our admission criteria you are admitted and undergo a period of assessment from our multidisciplinary team.
The purpose of this assessment is to establish a diagnosis and to detemine your best course of treatment. Following this, treatment and rehabilitation begin with the aim of securing your successful discharge from our service.
