Medium Secure Services

 What help do you offer?

​We provide assessment and treatment if you are a male or female patient detained under the Mental Health Act who requires an area of medium security. Frequently you have a forensic history and require treatment over a prolonged period of time.

 How do I get help from your service?

​You can be referred to us from a variety of sources including high secure hospitals, low secure units, other medium secure units, prison settings, courts and the community.

 What hours is your service available?

​We are a 24 hours a day, seven days a week service.

 What can I expect from you?

​When referred to us, we assess you for admission suitability. If you meet our admission criteria you are admitted and undergo a period of assessment from our multidisciplinary team.

The purpose of this assessment is to establish a diagnosis and to detemine your best course of treatment. Following this, treatment and rehabilitation begin with the aim of securing your successful discharge from our service.

 What support do you offer carers including friends and family?

​We offer an information pack for family and carers if required. If you request it, it is possible for your family and friends to attend Care Programme Approach meetings.
