 What help do you offer?

At the CFYP team we provide direct therapeutic interventions including multidisciplinary assessment and treatment of children and young people up to 25 with mental health or severe emotional and behavioral difficulties. 

Our indirect interventions include consultation and support to other agencies and professionals who provide help or support to children or young people with emotional and behavioral difficulties. 

Our service comprises several teams, each of which is outlined separately under the Our services section: CAMHS, LD CAMHS, Early Intervention, Intensive Support Team, Youth Mental Health, Compass Centre, and Tier 4 Inpatient Unit.  ​

We aim to provide a service without stigma, where young people can access timely mental health support and treatment from well qualified and experienced staff. Our staff are committed to working in partnership with young people and their carers to provide you with the best possible service.   ​

 What conditions do you treat?

The CFYP service comprises different teams who specialise in a wide range of mental health disorders, including:
Moderate to severe depression
Mood disorders
Anxiety disorders
Post traumatic stress disorder
Emergent personality disorders
Psychotic disorders
Low mood
Eating disorders

 What support do you offer carers including friends and family?

Our clinicians recognize that recovery cannot be achieved without working closely with other people you know and we involve other people where you ask us to. Where your family needs additional support, we work closely with professionals from other agencies.
