The open days offer a unique opportunity to learn about the role of peer support workers in mental health services, training needed, as well as an opportunity to ask questions.

The Trust will be recruiting peer support workers this year. Peer support workers will be people who have experienced mental health problems, either themselves or as a carer, and will use their experiences to support others on their recovery journey.

There will be two sessions at 10am and 2pm, each lasting two hours on the following days:

  • Monday, 27 January 2014 - UEA Sportspark, Norwich, NR4 7TJ
  • Tuesday, 28 January 2014 - The Malthouse Project, 8 Elsey’s Yard, Risbygate Street, Bury St Edmunds, IP33 3AA
